Actually, I’ve seen a lot of research to the contrary. Since the introduction of video games as mainstream media, the number of juvenile homicides has gone down dramatically.
Studies that claimed to prove that they caused violence merely showed a correlation that could also suggest more violent children prefer more violent play.
My view is that going home and blowing off Zombie heads on your X-Box can also serve as an outlet for aggression.
Just read that second link, it’s pretty much all you need XD

Hell Yes! That’s not to say People aren’t responsible for the stupid things they do but of course they promote violence. Ask any kid who plays Warcraft or any game that includes fake death and mayhem with complete destruction for their online enemies if they would play a game that didn’t have this in it? That’s part of the lure for todays kids. If it ain’t loud and destructive these games wouldn’t sell. Thats the bottom line for video companies. Selling the product and making money.
Now leave me alone cause I’m getting ready to play my Xbox 360!
In all seriousness children and parents are responsible for their own behaviour and should be held accountable.

Yes, but only if they are ignored and stuck in front of the t.v. ALL DAY, with no other healthy outlets, and no other activities that develops social skills and gets them interacting with other people.
What else would you expect to learn if all you are exposed to is simulated blood and carnage all freakin’ day??? D’ERRR…;P!!!

it could cause violence, but i think its up to the parents to decide what their kids should play. everyone wants to blame videogames for violence, but how about the parents who let them play the games.

Only in you’re of a weak mind to begin with. My son knows that it’s all make believe. And we enjoy them together all the time. Watching the news promotes just as much violence as any video game ever could.

A little bit, I know someone who started getting symptoms of schizophrenia after playing an extremely violent game.
