I am a huge Nintendo fan and want to get the Wii,but not pay almost double the price,risk being ripped off on ebay, or camp out overnight at a store.If you have any information regarding when the Wii console will be widely available(in the U.S.)please answer.

there is little chance in my opinion to get a Wii soon in any retail store. As someone else mentioned somewhere all pre-orders will be fulfilled first. If any shop happens to get new stock imagine all the campers who’ll sleep in front of the stores or the chaos and then within minutes all will be gone.
Another option – a very secure and reliable one which least know of actually – is to purchase a Nintendo Wii thru any trusted 3rd party seller directly at Amazon. They have good feedback, deliver on time, mostly are merchants themselves simply and Amazon operates as the platform, in fact the purchase is processed directly via Amazon as you would usually buy from them.

you might be right if i get the wii you tell me from that site i will be happy well anyway i got the wii i just want another one so i can sell it
If you want a Wii, you’re going to have to work for it. It’s that simple. If you don’t want to camp out, then you’re going to have to get lucky and maybe find a store that just so happens to get getting the Wii shipments when you walk in. You can try getting to the stores several hours (maybe 4 or 5 hours) before it opens, and hope that there’s not a lot of people camping out.
LOL…I am right there with you! Myself and my fiancee are also looking for one. We missed getting one at a Best Buy yesterday by just a few moments…..the last one sold about 10 minutes before we came in.
It seems to be hit or miss right now. We found one at Walmart but didn’t have the money with us and of course it was gone the next day. We have been calling around and have found that most of the stores know when they are getting their next shippment in. From there I think it’s just getting lucky at actually geting one.
Something to think about also…if you need a second controller, look for it now also. They are always sold out of them as fast as the game systems themselves! We found a second controller and now if we could just get the actual system!
I don’t know what you or any one else who answered this question are smoking, but my mom works at wal mart and i go to eb games all the time. Basically the Wii has been out already for a few months. It came out before the PS3 came out(and yes it did come out).

Even if you know when it will be available, you’re going to have to camp out unless you get lucky and they dont sell out immediately.
I suggest finding a game store and making a reservation for one.
