How Can I Adjust My Newer Laptop To Play Older Pc Games?

by GamePlay on February 8, 2010

I just installed an older PC game from 1996 (The Neverhood) onto my laptop, but the resolution is dirty and gameplay is slow and interrupted. I am using a Toshiba with Windows Vista. What adjustments do I need to make to have my classic PC game run smoothly on this newer laptop?

No idea if this will help, but it’s gotta be better than the last answer you got, PMSL!!!http://www.wikihow.com/Run-the-Neverhood…

I haven’t looked at the website mentioned above, but I would start by trying the Compatibility Mode. If you right-click on the icon for the program, and select Properties, you should have a Compatibility tab. Check the box for “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” box and select an old version of Windows (as far back as Windows 95).
