I think video games are a serious problem in this country, and I believe people are able to get addicted to them. Now, I for one am addicted to World Of Warcraft, but I just want to know how many people out there have had their lives completely (or partially) taken over by games?

My brother lives and breathes by video games. He has always been addicted to games, but now that the internet is so readily available, he gets online and plays all the time. He doesn’t come to family functions anymore. When I visit his house, he is either sleeping, or playing on the computer with his buddies. He has 3 kids and a fourth one on the way, and he rarely spends time with them because he “has a raid” and can’t leave the computer. When his wife leaves the house without some of the kids, she has to be back before his next “raid” begins. Then they have to be quiet while he’s online or he gets angry. He keeps stress headaches as a result of always trying to get to the “next level” in his game. So, I do think that video games are very addictive, and that they consume alot of smart people who could be doing something more constructive with their lives. Not that playing in moderation isn’t ok, I just think some people take it too far. Wake up, smell the roses, and live life people. lol
