if you have a slow wireless internet connection then i recommend using a wired connection. if you dont want wires running through your house the i would upgrade to a more advanced wireless router

Actually the “speed” of your internet very rarely plays a part in gaming quality. It is more likely that lag/latency would be a culprit.
When someone says “speed” or “slow internet” they are typically refering to a download rate (1.5 Mbps or 756 Kbps) whereas latency is the amount of time it takes for your internet to respond to a request.
Games don’t often use a great deal of bandwidth (they don’t need a high download rate). They are actually designed to avoid heavy bandwidth/download use so people don’t need a particularly special internet connection to play. Lag on the other hand plays the bigger part. If you are playing a First Person Shooter and you shoot at a runner - if your internet takes 2 seconds (2000 milliseconds) to respond than that person has moved away and you may likely have missed. A good latency or low lag is more like 100 milliseconds so your system is quicker to respond.
The only exception to the rule is if you actually do have to little bandwidth than the game will begin to cough and sputter because it can’t keep up. An internet connection like that would a 56Kbps Dial up or a low end DSL connection (sub 256Kbps).
    Best of Luck,

Yes you will be skipping around on other peoples screens.
If you plug an internet cable from the PS3 to your wireless
router it will be faster. You might not notice the lag but other
people will start whining about how laggy you are.

yes because it will cause lag
Its just like any other regular game that you play online. If the connection is slow then the game will have lag
