Is There A Certain Time Of The Year That Makes You Want To Play Video Games, Or Start Playing Them Again?

by GamePlay on September 5, 2009

For some reason, i stop wanting to play video games in the early part of the spring. I maybe play a little bit of them in the summer, but not much, unless its a really good game, like God of War 2 or something.
But as soon as summer turns to fall, i just get in the mood to play video games. It always peaks around Christmas and New Years, then slowly goes downhill after that. Must be something about the cold weather.

it probably does have something to do with the cold weather. that and the fact theres a lot of holidays near the end of the year (labor, vetarans, thanksgiving, christmas, new years) meaning no school/work for a lot of people. its a nice way of just chillin at home and escape from reality thru video games.
if probably dies out for you late spring/early summer caz people dont usually like just sitting there sweating in front of the tv all day. on hot days, people go to the beach or the mall or something and hang out with friends. and if youre still at school, maybe its caz you got bored after playing for so many hours.

Usually the game developers try to finish teh games for the holiday season, so maybe looking forward to the new realeases has something to do with it.

Frankly I don’t think so. My thing is I like to play whenever I’m not doing anything. I’m not the whole seasonal player.

Its more than likely because of christmas, making you all excited for all those great games coming out! Also, in winter your more likely to be in doors due to weather, whereas in summer you’ll be out with mates or what have you.
