Send it in and try to get it fixed most likely this will take a month but it will help in the future but if you get it back and its still not working then you will have to buy a new one..

I had that same issue, it will work sometime and it wont. Call customer support. 1800-4-my-xbox and they can assist you. They simply replaced mine.
it probably need to be cleaned out. take the cover off and blow it our with that air in a can stuff.
