it’s kind of like with my DVD player, except it wouldn’t play DVD’s. It might be dust. You see, dust can collect up in an electronic (sounds weird cause it’s a closed space but yes it can happen) causing something in there to malfunction, or make slower, or just not work at all. My advice would be to search online for some dust cleaner stuff or maybe even a optidisc that cleans the lens disk (i’m not sure if they have one for an Xbox 360 but they have one for a DVD player!)

I really hate when that used to happen to me. It would freeze on any game that i played. This is just a pre sign to the Red ring of death. This is how mine came about and that is the only thing i could think.
just change it! if you bought it in circuitcity, then there’s nothing you can do. try changing parts ( there are some parts (like video card, for example) that you can change (i think))
