I am still in my warranty but I really do not want to wait to long for Microsoft to send it back to me . By the way, how long does it take for them fix the xbox 360 when you send it in to them.

why spend money on an xbox 360 when you can get it for free? just go to this site and complete a few quick tasks and they’ll send you one - at no charge!

I would clean the disk tray it may have dirt or dust in it which is scratching the disk (you may have to buy a new disk tray).
    -Hope this helps!

    I have two things.
    1. the xbox 360 will only scratch the games if the 360 is moved while the console is on. I don’t think the warranty would cover anything, best thing to do is call them and ask. Microsoft usually takes about 5 weeks to fix and send back a xbox 360(I have gone thru that process).
    2. if you are confterble disassembling your xbox 360 this site will help, they have some rubber pads that they sell and they tell you how to take everything apart. step by step and pictures in the tutorial. The site is http://www.llamma.com/xbox360/repair/Refurbishing-the-HL-Xbox-360-DVD-Drive.htm
