I have a 2 year old tv. nothing fancy, flat screen. The playstation 3 seems like such an advanced peice of technology. Will it play on my low resolution tv? if so, will it come with the cord to hook to my tv.
Also, While I’m asking questions, What is the proper name for the cord whith the multi color extensions that hooks into the tv.
What does the playstation 3 come with. The 60 gig one. I’m not asking about the system itsself, but what comes in the box with it?
How will i be able to hook internet to it. I hav DSL. Will it be as simple as hooking th ethernet cable into it.

The red, yello and white extension is called av cord.
yes ps3 is compatible with old tvs, u can change the resolution if u need to, ps3 comes with an av cord, controller charging cord
, network wire, power cable, the manual and 1 wireless controller. if u have a router then connect the lan wire from ps3 to one of the router ports then u gotta set it up in settings,then network settings on the ps3′s settings menu.

The PS3 comes with the PS3, manual, composite cables (yellow, red, and white plugs), power cord. Basically, everything you need to get started.
You can use a regular TV for the PS3 because that’s what the PS3 comes with, composite cables, not component cables (red, green, blue for video and white and red for audio).
To connect to the internet, just plug one end into the PS3 and the other end into the phone jack or router.

The PS3 ships with the standard RCA cables. Pretty much any TV made within the last fifteen years should be able to hook right up to it. Be forewarned, however. It’s really a waste of money to buy a PS3 if you don’t have an HDTV as there’s so few games available for it that are worth playing in SD resolution. I returned my PS3 after only about a week of ownership for the lack of content.
In other terms, Stick to yer’ PS2.
