   You only need one if you have an HD TV, if you have an ordinary TV then you can’t use an HDMI cable.
   If you do have an HD TV, then it’s important that you use an HDMI cable instead of the cables it comes with, because it’s only through the HDMI cable that you will get high definition pictures and sound. But you don’t need to get an expensive one, one of the cheaper ones will do just as well, the expensive ones are just a con.
   So, if you have an ordinary standard definition TV, then you don’t need one, But, if you have an HDTV, then you certainly do need one,
   Edit, it is the best thing, even if you don’t have full HD (1080p) and only have HD ready (720p) it’s still worth useing an HDMI cable:)

   If you have a HDTV then a hdmi would be nice since it has 1080p HD Reslution and has the best picture quality for ps3, blu-ray looks crystal-clear, and when playing games it feels like you are there.

   Buy and hdmi if you have a 50+ inch lcd or led tv. It’s worth it for the res and quality of picture with blu ray.

   buy it if you have a 32-100 inch tv……….i have 62″ and it was worth it
   ohh and only if ur tv is full hd

   It lets you play the PS3 in HD if you have an HDTV.
