What Is Wrong With My Xbox Live Connection?

For some time now, at least two months, I have been randomly been being kicked out of xbox almost every 30 minutes. It is frustrating and annoying and I cant figure out whats wrong. I have a 4 or 5 out of 5 wireless connection and I still get kicked off of xbox live. I have a 12 month live account until next july so i don’t think that’s the problem. Any help or advice from personal experiences with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    you probably need to open up your NAT. Also try port forwarding 3330 and 3074. That should help a lot.

    Something similar happened to me and it got progressively worse (was getting kicked off more frequently) until I couldn’t go online at all. I called Comcast (my ISP) and it turns out that a cable wire that ran along the outside perimeter of my living room had snagged on a nail and I wasn’t getting a strong enough connection(eventually I lost the connection altogether). All they did was replace the wire and I was good again. Your problem might be different but if you run a connection test on your XBOX and everything is checking out there, then chances are it’s some sort of hardware problem either with your modem, wires,Xbox machine,etc. I would try calling whoever your ISP is and let them know..I wasn’t charged for them to come out and fix my wire.
