What kinds of video games do you play? I’ve noticed that a majority of people here think that hardcore video games (aka REAL video games ) are for nerds and prefer those shitty online games like Runescape or little childrens games like “Hannah Montana” and “Mario and Sonic”.
Meanwhile, there is a small minority that plays real games, like WoW and Half-Life, and console games like Halo and GTA.
So, what games do you play, and why?

I like the action and strategy genres best. I like games that make you think, teach you something, let you explore and go somewhere you have never been before, do something you have never done before, and… are just plain fun to play. I know what you are talking about regarding all the questions these kids put in Yahoo Answers. It seems like the majority of people asking and answering questions are just kids under the age of 12. I wonder why I even bother with Yahoo Answers sometimes. I get kind of sick of seeing that stuff over and over. “Has anyone got a Runescape account I can have?” No wait, I didn’t put that correctly. “Haz any1 gok a Roonkscape akount I canhave”
I never got into Half-Life or Halo, but I grew up with Goldeneye and GTA. Metal Gear Solid (original) I believe is untouchable. I played WoW up to a 64 pally, but grew tired because I see it as a vast amount of a waste of time and it isn’t fun anymore. COD4 is a real game. I think Halo is for 13-year-olds, but that’s me.
I really like the Nintendo games such as Mario, Zelda, etc. but at the same time I really like fighting games such as virtual fighter 4, or any other.
Kingdom Hearts
Becuase its awesome! I love games wiht great story lines and great characters!
Also, to each their own right?
i love games like final fantasy and kingdom hearts, any that have a really good story line and can actually be a slight challenge.

GTA and Assasins Creed
the games I’ve played have changed a lot over the years depending on the format.
A lot of the early day stuff was side scrolling platform puzzle games, like the Dizzy series.
When consoles came along, and I got myself a mega drive I was hooked on Road Rash, and Skitchin, and other racers.
Then first person shooters took off, along with the playstation, and PC gaming, so I was on Doom, Quake, exhumed etc.
I presently like to play GTA (been a huge fan of the series since day one), CoD 4, and Guitar Hero.
There really is something for everyone out there now, so there’s no need to have a pop at what other people like. Each to their own, and all that.
And I wouldn’t say that people that play Halo and GTA are a small minority.
