I have the 80gb PS3 hooked up to 32″ Samsung LCD with HDMI cable and sometimes during gameplay, I hear a slight static noise or distortion. Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this and what the solution may be?

Any Radio, IR or EMI interference can cause static noise. Do you have a cellphone? Cordless Phone, Microwave, stereo equipment? 100′s of things can cause interference.
