whatever kind works with your PC and meets your level of expertise. there are external ones that are more expensive but use a USB interface and easy connections, then there are the internal ones that require opening your PC for use, but are generally cheaper. You decide.
The best one to use would be the Adaptec GameBridge. Most “pros” use it for capturing Xbox 360 gameplay, and exporting to your PC.
It’s most popular (from what I’ve seen) among Rock Band pros, and works pretty well.
