My Xbox 360 is right by my computer. Literally one inch away. I bought arcade. I have a 20 G hard drive. I assume i can just hook it up to live by an ethernet cable? will that work? That’s all i need to know. WILL HOOKING UP MY XBOX 360 TO MY COMPUTER BY AN ETHERNET CABLE SUPPORT XBL?

you will need a router the modem hooks to the computer the computer
hooks to the router then you hook the Ethernet cable to the router.
a router cost about 30.00 dollars and up.
Or you could do it the hard way keep switching the cable from the computer to the modem .doing it this way is a pain in the butt.
go buy a router
1. Router connected to internet. (computer not required)
2. XBOX comes with ethernet cable. hook that into the back of the xbox 360 and an open port on the router.
3. XBOX LIVE membership (each xbox comes with a one month GOLD membership trial, after you have to buy one and redeem the code on the xbox.)
4. Use XBOX to detect internet connection.
