What Xbox 360 Live Membership Do I Need To Play Halo 3 Live?

I want to play Halo 3 on Xbox Live but I don’t know which membership to get. I know there’s silver and gold, however I don’t know if silver membership will allow me to play games vs other players on Halo 3 Live. Could you let me know if silver will allow me to, or if I need to get gold? Also, what other games are really fun on Xbox Live? Thanks!

    You need Gold but the xbox comes with a free month of gold.
    There are lots of fun games to play online but here are favorites:
    Guitar hero,
    rock band,
    Shaun White,
    Call of Duty 5 world at war because of zombies(note: the campaign is between poor and good),
    gears of war,
    virtual fightar 5,
    and number 1:Halo 3 which you and i have.

    U have to have a gold membership the come in 1 mouth to 12 mounts the 1 mount cost about $8 and the 12 is about $50. i have silver witch i got for fable 2 but i could not play online so u need to get a gold card the are cheap but if u use a credit card u need to call to cancel if not the card keeps getting billed and ads up quick. hope this helps.

    hey sup if u want to actually play the games on xbox live u need to get a GOLD membership. Some other fun games r Left 4 Dead Gears of War 2 and Halo 3 ^_^
