I have a pretty basic computer and when I play video games the fan in the tower runs really hard and loud. Does this mean that my PC is getting too hot and is it at risk of overheating?

In most cases for pc games, the fan on your video card will always be running at high speeds to make up for the extra processing needed to keep frame rates steady.
It’s suggested that you should have at least three extra fans in addition to the video card to ensure sufficient cooling in your pc:
A frontal fan for intake cooling, a decent heatsink fan fro your processor and a rear fan for pushing the hot air circulating in your system out.
