When Using The Pal Park In Pokemon Plat., Does Your Gba Game Need To Be At Or Past A Certain Point In Gameplay?

by GamePlay on July 29, 2009

For example, can I just start a new game of LeafGreen, get a starter, and then load up Pal Park in Platinum to catch the starter, or do I need to actually progress a bit in LeafGreen before the option is there?
I am well aware that I need to have beaten the storyline in Platinum and acquire the National Dex. Thank you.

Well, you will have to get your Pokedex in order to catch Pokemon in the GBA game, so you will need a bit of progress in the game. However, once you’ve caught 6 Pokemon, you’ll be able to transfer them to your DS game.

No it doesn’t. You can import you pokemon any time you want. You have to have at least 6 pokemon at you PC though. If you start a new game, just catch 6 pokemon.

No, you do not need to have progress in the gba game. You just need to catch 6 pokemon in the gba game and you can already load it into the pal park.
