Ive really had enough of converting my files into mp4 format or using a program like TVersity to stream movies to my playstation 3 as the conversion takes ages and TVersity is unreliable! Anyone know when this will be resolved and when the next update is due and what this update may include?

did u update ypur ps3 to 2.20 i think it supporting now

Well AVI videos with the DivX codec work
But I try and keep up to date with all PS3 system update rumours and news and there has been to talks about expanding the video types, it may be that PS3 will never play AVI.
update and u can play avi/divx
if u hav wireless router u can stream ur entire windows media player to ur ps3
just click library then select media sharing…..select ur ps3
open ur ps3 then scan for media servers
all ur music,pics and vids will be therefor u to look at or watch/listen to through ps3
