Why Can’t I Play Online Call Of Duty World At War On My Playstation 3?

by GamePlay on August 29, 2009

I’ve just bought a PlayStation 3, and Call of Duty World at War. And I think that I have set everything up all right. It’s just that when I go online, the computer says it’s downloading game settings. But the problem is it’s taking ages. What have I forgotten to do? Because I’m sure I’ve done all the updates.

first of all go to settings then network settings and check ur internet if its fine then just turn off and on and try again it will tke anywhere from 10 mins to 45 so be patient if your on a wireless and the internet connection fails turn off ur ps3 then turn off ur modem and router thn turn modem n router bck on wait till theve stopped flashing and thn turn ur ps3 on that should solve it.

tom has pretty much nailed it but also check you dont have a computer turned on or anything else connected to the net thats streaming data. that will take most of the broadband width and bugger your connection up.
WAW also has a lot of connection issues for different providers as well. it may well be that you need to put your ps3 outside the demilitarized zone or to simplify things outside your fire wall which the ps3 will run through if your modem is also connected to a pc or mac as mine is. you ISP can help you do this.
the other problem may be that you need to open some more ports, this is quite easy to do, just contact your ISP, i would try this first after what tom suggested.
