Especially games that aren’t “for girls”(who even plays games like that,unless they’re simulators like “Harvest Moon” and “Cooking Mama”…)
I don’t get it. I spend a lot of my free time playing video games. Games aren’t for boys only.

    That’s a good question. Maybe it’s because a lot of video games are action-oriented (shooters, sports). The stereotype is that boys are full of energy and love action, while girls are full of sugar and spice and everything nice.
    Then again, maybe boys spend a lot more time playing video games than girls, in which case people are simply surprised to find you’re an exception - a girl that likes video games. To them, maybe finding a girl that plays video games is like finding a boy that plays with dolls.

    Because the typical video game demographics show and imply and that only males play video games, its like a man who likes to put on make up form a female perspective.
