Why Does Battlefield 2 Quit All Of A Sudden During Gameplay?

I stopped playing BF2 for a couple weeks and now when I play it, I get maybe 2 minutes of playing time before it suddenly quits. the gameplay itself is great, my specs are up to par, etc.
Why does this happen??

    Did the error message say it had something to do with PunkBuster or Handshaking if so it is a Punkbuster issue. To fix this issue go to this link: http://punkbuster.com/downloads/bf2/pbse…
    This is a manual update for punkbuster. All you need to do is save the webpage by click File on your Interenet Browser then Save As. To save click My Computer, then EA Games, then Battlefield 2. Just save it in sub folder called PB

    Possibly your ping spikes and if there is a ping limit on game you get booted.I play Warrock online and my ping for overseas games starts out low and them boom, I exceed the ping limit and I’m gone.Just a thought.Another reason might be your getting booted by host to make room for a buddy or a clan member.
