My pointer keeps flickering, while i am trying to play a game. It moves around perfectly, but flickers on and off quickly and continuously while doing so.
The actual game runs smoothly, and i have tried putting the graphics on their lowest, but it makes no difference.
Does anyone know why it is doing this, and could anyone suggest a way in stopping it?
Thanks

It’s because the CPU is putting all it’s resources into running the game so the cursor is way down the update list hence the flickering.
If it’s that annoying put it right over to the righthand side so it’s out of sight. Or right to the very bottom of the screen so it disappears!
Well your graphics card might not be able to handle whatever your playing.
Another reason it might do this is that you’ve got something running in the background.
But sometimes I get this problem when accidentally turn my wireless switch off, I have to wait a while or minimize whatever I’m playing so it stops.
If you’re using windows then try turning off automatic updates when you’re going to play your game, it sometimes causes me problems.
Or depending when the game was made try running it in compatibility mode especially if you’re running Vista.
That’s pretty much all I can think of right now.
I had that problem in Command and Conquer: Zero Hour and Generals. It started happening after I installed a patch. Reverting to the previous version wouldn’t solve the problem, and the only solution that I could find was to uninstall the game and reinstall it, avoiding the patch since I didn’t play it online anyways.
