Why Does My Xbox 360 Wireless Control Not Work When Not Plugged In Anymore?

by GamePlay on January 18, 2010

I have a wireless control with the rechargeable batteries but the control only works when its plugged in. When its plugged in the light goes red and sometimes green but when I unplug it the control just turns off. I hadn’t used the xbox for like 2 months and before that it was working ok then recently I started playing again and that when this started happening, might this have something to do with it? How can I fix this?

The batteries aren’t holding a charge any-more. Get a new battery pack or new batteries.

the easiest thing to do is probably reset it
press the sync button on both your xbox
and the controller and it might fix it.
