Has anyone ever noticed that near the part of the xbox controller that connects to the xbox it comes into 2 pieces? Why does it do that, is there an adapter of some kind that changes it to work on a pc that connects there?

It was to reduce damage to the console if the controller was yanked out. It would come apart at that point instead of ripping out of the port.
