If anyone has played any of the monster hunter games leave what you think of the gameplay and how you liked the complete game. In my opinion i wish it would be created for 360 or the pc.

Many games go through a green light process before they can be allowed into production. Market Researchers analyze the market and market trends before deciding on which platform these should go on.
With some deals with the publisher and console manufacturer there is often a specific exclusivity put on games. This exclusivity is sometimes as much as 2 years before it can be put on another console or PC.
Monster Hunter has not been released for any of the Next-Gen systems. Only the PSP currently enjoys this series right now and only in Japan. However it is available for import and you can find this at your local gamestore. Sadly because if it’s niche market, it may not be financially viable for the Capcom to release this in any capacity on the XBOX360 or PS3 anytime in the near future.
A small formula to consider is:
Handheld game = $1,000,000 for a good title in dev costs.
Console game = $5,000,000 for a AAA title and around 2 -3 years dev time.
Handheld consoles are much cheaper than consoles and the cost of getting your million dollars back is much cheaper than the return on a console game. It’s just a matter of financials really.
very few people in japan play 360 so they don’t have monster hunter for that.
and computer they have monster hunter frontier which is only availible in japan.
but at least monster hunter is still on psp and ps2 and upcoming mh3 for wii
so notice how all the consoles it comes out for are japanese consoles not american consoles cause it targets the japanese audience
It’s a very niche game, even in Japan where it is somewhat popular. As such, it doesn’t make financial sense to multi-platform it or to make it for any system that’s not a top seller.
