Wii Classic Controller

The Wii Classic Controller recreates the classic Nintendo format you’ve been using for years now. For gamers who don’t feel comfortable with the new Nunchaku or Wiimote controls, this is a familiar and comfortable alternative. Features include:

5 Stars An Affordable Convenient Controller That Works Great
After I got My Nintendo Wii I started downloading virtual games from the wii shop channel but the only problem was some of the older games didn’t seem to work to well with the remote buttons or the gamecube controller. Than I saw this and for the price I decided to try it out and I am both ecstatic and satisfied at how well it plays. The controller hooks into the wii remote where the nun-chunks usually connect to and the response time is great just like the wire-less Xbox 360 controller there’s no lagging on the button commands. You’ll not need the controller to much with the old Nintendo games but more with the Super Nintendo, Sega, and N64 games instead. The one thing I also like about this controller is that it’s small and easy to hold and while it might feel delicate it is pretty durable so don’t worry to much about button mashing during game play. So if you’re like me and are downloading a lot of the old games I say this is the perfect controller to play those games with.

4 Stars Nicely made. Underutilized.
I quite like this controller, maybe not as much as the gamecube controller (which is one of my favorite controllers ever made) but it’s still pretty damn good. My only real complaint is the lack of compatibility with my Wii games. I understand the Wii is supposed to be focused on motion sensing but if I don’t want the waggling gimmicks I shouldn’t be forced to play that way, I thought that was the point of the classic controller. Even in Twilight Princess, a game that was also on the gamecube, you can’t use a gamecube or a classic controller to play it on the Wii. It doesn’t make sense that a game that was also programmed for play with a gamecube controller can’t be played with one on the Wii, but I digress…

2 Stars sucks, not same buttons
not same buttons as n64, so pretty lame.

I was really hoping to play some ocarina of time on it.

5 Stars Classic is always classic
I got this controllers to that my friends wouldn’t whine all the time playing Smash Bros. Thats really the only reason I got them.

5 Stars Owner of both Classic and Wavebird Controllers!
I do own both the classic and wavebird controllers. I can see where people would not like the classic controller, but here is the thing. I enjoy playing older games via Virtual Console and the classic works great. NES and SNES games are a perfect fit. N64 can be a little iffy compared to the Wavebird. Basically ask yourself this. Do I enjoy playing 2D games? If the answer is yes this is a must buy. The recent release of Mega Man 9 has kept this controller in my hand constantly. The D-Pad is the Nintendo perfect and the button layout is comfortable. The cheap price is also a plus. Sure the cord is a little anoying, but your not sitting 5 feet away from your tv like back when we used to play the NES.
