In terms of graphics and audio i mean its better than ever. However to many games with the same type of gameplay. Does anyone else think this?

I agree with shipwrck above, there are a lot of good games, but they are too short. And more often games like Tomb Raider have more available levels on one console than they do on another, but still cost the same, or you have to buy extra levels to download, but considering how much they cost in the first place I feel we pay for a full sized and complete game.
Having said all of that there have been some really good games over the last few months,
Prince of Persia, too easy but fun,
Dead Space,
Tomb Raider Underworld, really good if your still a fan of all the TR games, but really short on playstation.
COD5
Resistance 2
Motorstorm 2, same as 1 but very good.
Despite the shortness of some of them, I don’t think you can really say that they aren’t better than most of the old ones, except Resi 4:)
I agree.
Video games used to be all about timing and button mashing. They were simple ideas and stories in games were few and thin. They were all about reaction time and how good you were at hitting jump over and over again.
Nowadays when you play video games it’s like playing a movie. There are stories and the graphics and sound make it possible to portray characters and good tales of good vs evil etc. I think video games are better than ever and are only gonna get better. They make you think now, make choices and still have alot of dependence on reaction time.
I think their starting to run out of ideas..I remember having loads of fun with my PS1 but when PS2 pops out, sure there are even better games but there is also lots of crappy games popping up in the process.I remember unique gameplays in PS1 like Bushido Blade and Abe:Oddworld etc. but later platforms got their decent games as well.Though there are games that moves across older platforms into newer platforms but can still be as great like Final Fantasy or Metal Gear(the really old version)into Metal Gear Solid series.
i find most games nowadays are waaay too short and there’s a lack of rpgs….find it hard to pay 60 bucks for a 5-10 hour game…..was why i didnt buy mirrors edge or prince of persia
they´re not what they used to be, they´re much better.
