Well, I had to fix my 360 again last night, so I decided to film a video about repairing it. The first step is obviously getting it open, and the Xbox 360 isn’t just held together with screws, so you’ll probably need some kind of guide to get it open (I know I did). You’ll need some screwdrivers, mainly a small flat one and a Torx T10 (for other parts you’ll also need a T8, such as to remove the ring of light/power button board or the X clamps). Thanks a million for the instruction! I followed it methodically and had the xbox open in 15 min. the problem with the xbox was the two flashing lights indicating overheating and the culprit was a thick layer of dust on the cooling plates. Vacuumed the whole thing and put the xbox back together by reversing the order of your instructions and everything is hunky dory again. Thank you! you saved me and my son a lot of aggravation and money!!!
I know man taking off that back piece had me sweating and everthing they didnt “Pop” at all!! I even used a flathead screwdriver. I effin mauld the back taking that piece off- but i fixed my 2 rrod tho

I think just sending it in to mircosoft cuz if u have the 3 red ring of death u get a 3 year waranty thats what it said for me
I’m at the part where you have to open the 7 latches at the back. They don’t “pop” and can’t get the back to open up at all.

Mines doing same thing! after a little research I concluded that it’s the laser eye either gone bad or dead completly:( Try blowing into the opening or can of air to rid any possible dust (foreign object in the eye….if warranty then send it back to microsoft and they send you a new one if not then ya gotta toss it and get a new one which I will probably do black friday…may score one for $150.00 !!
